AI-native business model
An AI-native business model is built on AI agents from the start: agents carry the core of value creation, and the offering would not exist in this form without them.
What does AI-native mean?
AI-native means that the business model was not extended with AI after the fact but designed with AI agents as a load-bearing part. Processes, organisation, cost structure and offering assume that agents do a substantial share of the work.
An AI-native provider therefore often sells not a tool but the completed task or the achieved outcome. Software is the means of delivery, not the product itself.
Characteristics of AI-native business models
- Agents do recurring work; people own goals, exceptions and relationships.
- The offering is described by an outcome, not by features or user licences.
- Costs scale more with compute and operation than with headcount.
- Data, memory and evaluation are part of the core service.
- The system is run and improved continuously – an agent is never finished.
AI-native and AI-first: two paths to the same goal
AI-first describes the path of an existing company that redesigns its processes from the outcome. AI-native describes a model that assumes this state from the start. In practice the two meet: established companies become AI-first and work with providers whose own model is AI-native.
Results-based pricing
When agents do the work, pricing by user licences or activity loses meaning. Paying for agreed results is the more obvious choice. This shifts accountability: the provider has to run its system so that it actually works.
REVAGO follows this logic with revenue as a service: REVAGO designs and runs the system for securing and growing revenue. During ongoing operation you pay for results – not for activity.
Which tools AI-native models need
AI-native business models rely on several layers of tools: frameworks for orchestration and state (such as LangGraph), agent harnesses with planning and sub-agents (such as DeepAgents), memory and knowledge management, evaluation and observability, and automation all the way into the browser. The wiki categorises these layers.
From tool to outcome
In AI-first coaching you clarify which outcomes AI agents should be accountable for in your go-to-market and within which framework. REVAGO then designs, builds and runs your system. You pay for results – not for activity.
